Will the view at Electra be impacted by the Broadway/Navy project?

They have changed the plan so many times I lost track of what is going on there...

There's a 40 story hotel tower planned to go in due west of Electra. The top 7 or 8 stories should be above the hotel. There's also an office tower planned to go in between the hotel and Electra, however that is not part of the Naval Broadway Complex development.

I have a friend that swears that he was told by the sales staff at Electra that the view would never change because the Navy couldn't develop that land.

Anonymous - What you most likely heard from the Electra sales staff is that No RESIDENTIAL tower can be built on the Navy land... I was in the office last week and they gave me a complete overview of all of the new towers in that whole area...

You might check www.ccdc.com (Central City Development Corp) or visit their office for current information on new developments.  A few weeks ago, they had new models of buildings on the Navy site, but nothing yet on Lane Field.
