I learned today that Governor Palin secretly arranged for Tina Fey to substitute for her at the Thursday VP debate. Ms. Palin explained that any skit on tonight's SNL would only be Fey parodying Fey. Asked if that would help redeem her political reputation, Ms. Palin replied with her trademark, "You betcha." However, the ploy seems to have backfired. Because her folksy, everywoman debate performance was so well received, evangi-delusional churches all across America will be using Sunday sermons to call for a "Draft Fey" movement. |

Lurk-there is already a "daft Palin" movement. It is gaining lots of traction. "You Betcha". |

| it's gotten old already! Fey looks a lot like Palin - that's all there is to it! I don't think her impersonations are on at all and honestly, I'm getting sick of the media chosing who runs this country! Mexico is starting to look like a serious option for a lot of Americans. |

| I support Tina Fey Palin for VP because she is "as ready as rain" to step in when McCain has a "senior moment." I'm glad Cheney didn't "step in" when the Bushwacker had his "reading teacher" moment during the Twin Towers/Pentagon attacks. |

According to an Associated Press (part of the BBM--Big Bad Media) story: The "SNL" take on the week's political events has become a dependable part of the news cycle this fall, offering near-immediate parodies of the presidential candidates, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain, and their running mates. The show -- particularly the opening sketches -- have resonated with higher ratings for the NBC program and increased traffic on its Web site where early-to-bed viewers catch the talked-about sketches in the days after. Saturday night's opening sketch of the VP debate appeared likely to garner similar buzz thanks to Fey's popular Palin impression. Winking and giving answers not always directly related to Queen Latifah's questions, Fey's Palin said that if she was elected, her decisions would be guided by considering "what would a maverick do?" At the end of the segment, she asked with flute in hand, "Are we not doing the talent portion?" Palin was runner-up in the 1984 Miss Alaska contest. |

I'm of the opinion that Tina Fey is more qualified to be VP than the real Palin. Tina has real life experiences with real people whos IQ is greater than their shoe size. Palin has no idea of what's going on outside of her baron wilderness. When we need a hockey mom as VP ,she's the one to call. Until then, let's elect a much more qualified candidate. |
