Good thing George W. can bail himself out the 8 year mess he's made. How in the hell will Obama fix this mess while he's in office? I want to give McCain my vote....let him & Sara clean up after his friend party.

How unfair to leave a fresh candidate a problem that really doesn't have a simple solution. Guess that explains the massive chazm that separates decsion makers of our country....

Very simple ... he won't do what President Bush would have done. LOL

It's the same response to a different problem. It was in the past year or so that Bushie was giving the Afghan and Iraq wars over to the next President. But like any good informercial..."wait, there's more!!".

(Picture Billy Mays - he can pitch anything)

"Want to be President?!? Play to the right decision-makers, and it's yours!

But that's that not all! Order now, inherit the quagmire in the Middle East!

We'll throw in a domestic financial crisis for free!!

Also, a free copy of the devalued Constitution.

Want more? How about environmental standards that would make any weeping willow weep, if any still existed!

Hurry, clock's ticking. Offer good for only 4 more weeks!! Operators (or Alaskan governors) standing by."

Another day when "Wall Street" showed how much it expected to benefit from "its" bailout!!!

Wall Street and Main Street are competing to see which can crumble the fastest.

Oh, and Countrywide is going to stop the clock on tens of thousands to foreclosures so some kinds of workarounds can be proposed to enable people to keep their homes. Sorry, buzzards--there might not be as many carcasses out there as you want.

For the record:

The CRA, or "Community Reinvestment Act", was a law that told banks if they 're going to take deposits in certain areas, then they have to also make loans in those ares. This law was passed by the dem congress and signed into law by Jimmy Carter in 1977.

In 1995, the law was changed to encourage looser lending standards in order to allow more "minority home ownership". These changes were signed into law by Bill Clinton. The subprime loan programs came into being at this time.

Also, in 1995, Citibank was sued to force it to issue more loans to lower income and minority applicants. One of the lawyers on that case, Barack Hussien Obama.

Several times over the last few years, at least as far back as 2003, both the Bush administration and certain repubs in both houses of congress have either issued warnings about, or introduced legislation to reign in Fannie May and Freddie Mac, but were ignored or had their bills killed in committee on party line votes. For some reason the dems thought that FM/FM were doing fine and didn't need more regulation, when just about everything else in the country did.

Just for the record, the second highest recipient of "campaign contributions" from FM/FM? Barack Hussien Obama.

Show-well there is the real answer. The poor and minorities are responsible for this market crash. And all of this time, we were thinking this was wall street greed. Who would have thought that poor people would have absorbed such a large portion of the market???? Wonder if they did any business with the FHA.

Show-one of McCains primary advisors by the name of Davis (along with his consulting firm) has been a recepient of lobbying fees in the millions from f&f. Turns out he told McCain that he had terminated the relationship. Not true. Continued to receive $15K a month(180k/yr) as of one month ago. Poor john, even his own advisors are lying to him.

I wonder what these people are trying to say when they constantly say "Barrack Hussein Obama." Are they saying that he isn't American? Names like "Hussein" only belong in other countries but not in America? I wonder how backward this country must be if its people are scared of names. Are we saying that we don't value culture and diversity? Strangers not welcome. It's very sad to see those people playing these fear games of us vs them. I was shocked to see that some people actually believe that Obama is some sort of secret muslim trying to take over the country. I wonder if Bobby Jindal got this treatment when he was running for governor of LA. For the record, his name is Piyush Jindal (not that I'm scared of it).

Wake up people, your future has been pissed away by government and greedy corporations. You will toil and sweat to make a subsistence living until you die. You have many things to be scared of but someone with a different sounding name isn't one of them.

I said it before and say it again. Fannie and Freddie will cost about $50 billion to bail out. Small potatoes compared to $1.8 trillion to bailout the private banks and Wall Street.

Watching the debate here... Mc Cain sounds like a used car salesman from the Middle East with the frequent use of "my friends". I worry when some calls me "my friend".
