What's the deal with rocks in the sink when people are selling their house or have an open house? Are they hiding sink deformities?

You got my curiosity up, so I googled "rocks in sink" and found a few hits. It appears to be a relatively new decorating idea...I dunno, maybe people feel they're washing their hands over a babbling brook.
In a powder room it could be OK, but in the sink where you shave and brush your teeth, no way.

This is the latest house I saw this "new decorating idea" of rocks in the sink: http://www.sdlookup.com/Pictures-100005576 You can't see it in the photos but they actually had rocks here in every sink.
Not meth, LOL.

Sounds like a feng shui gimmick to accelerate the sale of the home similar to burying a statue of St. Joseph upside down in the yard.

I suggest burying a statue of Beb Bernanke in your front yard.
