I don't think this is low enough yet. Rent for this place = 2000/mo? So maybe $240K purchase price to break even on my cash. Ugghh this bubble was ugly.

I happened to be in the neighborhood during the open house so I stopped by and toured it. It's nice. 367K nice? No, most certainly not. (And when I went it was at 387K). Lot is nice and deep.

Look at those previous sales, 480K in '05, and then not even a full year later this person lucked out and found someone crazier than him/herself and sold it for 580K.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is madness with a paper trail. My college study was all in the Humanities -- universally regarded as the least practical of all fields. Yet even I knew to hold on to my money during the Years of Buying Dangerously. You just have to resist hysteria.

Unreal.
