725k - 20% (145k - ouch) @7.25 = 3,957 + insurance? 100 + propery tax 604 = $4,661.

It's still not adding up. That's a lot of money and rents are far less for similar places. Not to mention tying up a cash down payment. Not to mention you'd want to upgrade it to this century and that'll cost ya. But maybe that 700 billions will free up money and some bank will be dumb enough to lend on it to a kid w/a lemonade stand. Hope springs eternal.
