I don't think this place will sell unit we get closer to 2002 prices.

First installment of property taxes in the amount of $3,730.38 is defaulted.

Look for the NOD and eventual foreclosure.

Buy and hold for the long term, they said. You'll never lose.

3-years of "investing in your future" and paying "ownership premiums" and what do you get? $150k loss + transactions costs + lost opportunity costs.

The April 10th installment of taxes has not been paid either. Total taxes in defaults are now $7,470.76.

Brian, what happens to unpaid taxes on a sale? Is the new owner now responsible?

Brian 4/14/2008 12:30:59 PMReply

Jakob, property taxes are specific liens against the property and are first priority. They get paid even before the banks who hold the notes get paid.

This listing is very interesting because it may be the first at Discovery to go below the original "amazing-once-in-a-lifetime-never-to-drop-below" price offered by the developer.
