Seems to me this sale should be a wake up call for La Jolla sellers and listing agents. This is a big house, 5,488 sf, nice, recent construction in a very nice area (the muirlands) And all they could get for it was 2.7. Given that they first listed it for $6,250,000 that's astonishing.

Sold Price: $2,700,000
Sale Date: 06/05/2009
Year Built: 2006
MLS#: 081023411
PPSF: $492

Price Reduced: 06/23/2008 from $5,995,000 to $4,900,000
Price Reduced: 04/30/2008 from $6,250,000 to $5,995,000

Wow, so much for list prices. Was it really last listed at $4.9M and they took $2.7M...would love to hear the story on this one.

Looking at the recent closings a lot more homes are going double digits less that asking % wise.
