Must have found someone else to help cover the payments to the various investors. If you look at a foreclosure website, you will see a long list of actions on it. So, many parties are hoping this sells, soon. | | | | Betty 2/7/2008 8:51:21 AM | Reply |
As I was driving by there yesterday, I saw lots of cars parked
outside - nice cars, one Lamborghini among them. So perhaps there
is some action soon.... | | | | Just Someone 2/13/2008 2:43:07 PM | Reply |
Bit o' action on the price. Dropped to 14.5 mil
Either 3%, or 15% change in asking depending on how you calculate it.

I've been watching this home for quite a while. Have they completed all construction on the home? How many parties are involved in this property financially? What website did you get that info? | | | | Just Someone 2/18/2008 8:53:02 AM | Reply |
foreclosure.com ;) | | | | Betty 2/18/2008 1:09:11 PM | Reply |
Oy, already in pre-foreclosure.
That house is so close to the edge on hillside,
I'd be worried to be washed down with the next
rainy season or a stronger earthquake. | | | | anon92037 2/18/2008 1:23:23 PM | Reply |
Oh, _that_ home. I drive by it all the time and dubbed it the "Getty-Disney Concert Hall." It's only a mild rip...I actually like the home. I always wondered what the inside was like...now I know. Top-notch photographer: notice how the edgeless pool seems to connect to the ocean? Nice touch.
And yes, Betty, that's quite a precarious position. But then again, what are the odds of a landslide in La Jolla? ;) | | | | Betty 2/18/2008 1:58:04 PM | Reply |
Yeah no kidding. I live "on" Mt. Soledad - hopefully it stays that way! :-) | | | | Just Someone 2/22/2008 4:46:50 PM | Reply |
If no one bites at: $14,500,000, raise the price!
Price Increased: 02/22/2008 from $14,500,000 to $18,500,000
or did the Realtor just forget that the client wanted 20% range?
List Price: $14,500,000 to $18,500,000

Or is it make sure the average price stays the same over time. They've lopped 500k of the low end, and added it to the high end. | | | | Realist 2/25/2008 12:19:25 PM | Reply |
Gee, sold in 2002 for $1.8 million and now asking more than $18,000,000? What a deal! Couldn’t win the lottery so now looking for a fool. When will people get back to reality on housing prices? | | | | stella 2/25/2008 12:35:18 PM | Reply |
Could easily be a tear down and a total rebuilt. I imagine sales history cannot reflect any improvements done between sales, etc. | | | | anon92037 2/25/2008 12:56:39 PM | Reply |
Yes, Stella, this house is in fact totally new. I don't remember what was there before, but it was not nearly as architecturally daring.
Lots of digging and clawing at the hillside to make space for this guy. No doubt architectural and engineering firms did quite well.
Apparently, if you have enough money, you can build wherever you please, even precarious mountainsides. | | | | jpinpb 4/29/2008 7:43:11 PM | Reply |
