Over one million dollars in upgrades? Really?

I can easily believe someone put $1 million into this place. Looks to be a large addition and lots of exterior deck. Look at the frameless glass wall in the master bedroom with the lack of any corner structural support. That requires a lot of fancy structural work to allow that to happen. I guess that glass/structral installation alone was over $100k. If the remodel/addition was $1 million over the last sale price of $240k, it would now be priced a bit less than 50% of peak. It looks to be overbuilt for the neighborhood, so the discount from peak should be larger than average. It all seems to make historical sense, but typical of misplaced investment during the bubble years.
